The Gold Coast's Deputy Mayor is considering whether to take legal action against the Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC).
A magistrate has acquitted David Power of a charge of deliberately misleading the CMC over contributions to pro-developer candidates at the last council election.
Councillor Power says he will consider his political future and any action against the CMC during a holiday over the next two weeks.
"They're matters that I think are left for another day," he said.
"I am certainly bringing some matters to the attention of the parliamentary committee that are of deep concern to me regarding the behaviour of some CMC officers but unfortunately I am unable to go into too much detail at this stage."
